President Elect Donald Trump’s latest appointment should be a familiar face to Fox News viewers. According to reports, Trump has tapped Fox News contributor and national security analyst Kathleen Troia “KT” McFarland to be Deputy National Security Advisor.
The New York Times’ Jeremy Peters tweeted out the news on Friday:
KT McFarland, former aide to three Republican administrations and Fox News personality, to be deputy nat sec adviser. Story coming shortly.

According to Bloomberg Politics, McFarland has accepted the position and will work with Lt. General Michael Flynn, Trump’s National Security Advisor.
KT McFarland brings a considerable amount of experience to the position having held national security posts in the administrations of presidents Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan.
