Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein has found more relevance after the election then she ever did during it. Stein spearheaded the call for recounts in three states–Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania–and has raised millions of dollars off of her efforts.

While Stein maintains that the recounts are about protecting the integrity of the democratic process, she may have accidentally exposed the real reason for her efforts during an interview on Monday’s “Alan Colmes Show”. When pressed on what her motivations were, Stein responded:

This is not about [Trump] and this is not about Hillary. The three states that we chose including Michigan that only just now declared its winner. This was not a partisan choice, this was zooming in on the states that have the markings of being most vulnerable to hacking because they had thin margins. They went the opposite way of what was expected and they had some kind of voting system vulnerability. (Emphasis added)

In essence, Stein is saying she wanted a recount because Hillary Clinton was winning in the polls in those states. Not because there’s any actual evidence of voter fraud. Not because there’s any actual evidence that votes went uncounted.

She might as well flush those millions of dollars down the toilet.

While Stein continues to position herself as a champion of the democratic process, she ironically praised Cuban dictator Fidel Castro this weekend:
